So you have decided to lose weight for Christmas.

In addition to whatever else you decide to do, here is a tip that will help you lose that weight before the end of the year.

The tip is: Drink more water every day.

Yes, it is as simple as that. Drinking more water can result in weight loss.

Depending on how much you drink at present you may have to increase your input to about two quarts a day. Don’t drink it all at once. Spread your water drinking throughout the day. Make it easy for yourself by positioning a water container somewhere in the house where you will pass by often. At the office put the water container within easy reach of your desk.

Why does drinking more water lead to weight loss? Apparently it is because if the kidneys do not have enough water then the liver has to take over some of the kidney’s jobs. This means that the liver cannot do its jobs productively. One of the jobs that suffers is the work the liver does to convert fat to energy. Ask your Doctor to explain. You may find it interesting and motivating.

It is important to drink pure water, not water with lots of additives. Do not fool yourself by drinking sugar packed soda. All those calories will interfere with your weight loss program! Anyway, too much soda is probably not good for you.

Here is a bonus. Drinking the right amount of water is great for your skin. Not only will you lose weight, but your complexion will improve in same way a dry garden turns green quickly after a good watering.
